Another powerful feature in Infinity is tabs. Tabs help you improve your organization and boost productivity by letting you navigate your folders more easily. Tabs allow you to view the items in one folder in different ways depending on your needs.

For example, you can create different tabs for different team members so you can easily overview their tasks. Or you can create a new tab in a folder just to get a different view of the items (e.g. one tab can be a list and the other one a calendar).

How to Create a New Tab

Tabs are located at the top central part of your board. There you will be able to view tabs, navigate them and create new ones.

When you create a board, you will already have one tab in place. When creating each new folder, after you finish creating the folder,  you will get the first tab. You will then be able to add as many new tabs as you need.

This is how you create a new tab:

  • Find and click the plus sign next to the existing tab (or the last created tab)
  • Choose a View Type among the options that will appear below
  • Give your tab a name by clicking it and typing it in
  • Use customization options in the top right to choose how you want to view your items in this tab

How to Navigate a Tab

As we said, tabs can come in handy when you want to have a clear overview of a particular set of items.

Maybe you’ll want to see your team members’ tasks in different tabs. Or you’ll want a tab that shows you just those tasks that are not done yet. Or you’ll want to keep track of the tasks that are marked as high priority.

When it comes to manipulating your tabs, you can do it in a few ways. On each tab, you will notice a three dots symbol. By clicking that symbol, you will get the options to delete, duplicate and rename your tab.

You can also move your tabs around and change their order by drag and drop. Just click the tab you want to move and drag it to a new place.

In order to properly use tabs, you will need to use attributes, views, filters, groups, sort and customize. We suggest you go over to the sections about these features to learn how to make the most of tabs.
