Juggling between projects, clients and tasks, sometimes you will just want to view the items you’re managing from a different angle. That’s why Infinity provides four different types of views:
Views allow you to look at the information in your boards and folders in different formats. Depending on the project and purpose, you will be able to switch between these four views. Each folder and even each tab can have a different view.
Although certain templates come with a predefined view, you will be able to change the view at any point by clicking the view switcher located on the toolbar at the top-right corner of the board. The switcher will always take shape of the view that is currently in place.
Let’s see what all three views look like.
A list will come in handy when you want a simple and straightforward overview of the items in one folder or one tab.
You can use lists to view all your team members’ tasks, for example. Or maybe you’ll want to skim through the tasks that are still pending. To take full advantage of lists, make sure to use the custom fields, filters and groups so you can create lists with specific items.
Columns, also known as Kanban board, is one of the most popular views in project management software. This view is super practical and effective because it allows you to visualize the workflow and navigate the board more easily.
To make the most of columns, you will need to learn about custom fields, filters and groups. That way, you will be able to organize your columns in the most productive way. In Columns view, you will also be able to move the items around easily by drag and drop - inside one column as well as across columns.
For items that are time-sensitive, Calendar view will be a great addition to your organization process. It will give you an overview of all the important dates like deadlines, calls, meetings, events, etc.
In Infinity, you’ll find a calendar that gives you an overview of a month, week and even day. So you can also keep track of the exact time something needs to happen and make detailed schedules.
A table is a practical format that will serve as a great solution for items with multiple attributes assigned to them. Through a table, you will be able to see all those attributes at a glance.
Just switch the view to a table and you’ll be able to see the team members, dates, numbers, subtasks and all other custom fields that have been added to define an item.
